Park County Senior Citizens Corporation – Executive Director

The Park County Senior Citizens Corporation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation operating under federal law of the United States.

Mission: The mission of the Park County Senior Citizens Corporation is to promote the physical, intellectual and social well-being of seniors age 50 years or older.

Vision: Supporting a balanced and well-connected life for all citizens.

About Us: Park County Senior Center (d/b/a) is housed in the historic Yellowstone Hotel, a 3-story building at the corner of Lewis and Main Streets in Livingston, Montana. The building not only houses the Center, but leases four commercial spaces, houses two independently-operated non- profits including Meals on Wheels and Angel Line Senior and Disabled Transportation Program, and the federal Experience Works program. In addition, the PCSC provides 24 low-income HUD certified senior independent living apartments on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Job Profile 

The position of Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors, develops and manages an annual budget of approximately $250,000, oversees a team of 4 to 5 full- and part-time employees, provides oversight of building and facilities, develops and oversees fundraising and development initiatives, and serves as an advocate and community liaison. The day-to-day operation of this organization and proper management of all its assets is the responsibility of the Executive Director. The position requires vision, creativity, flexibility and commitment to promote Park County Senior Citizens Corporation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Senior Center:

  • Alongside key staff members, manage operations including programs, classes, resident relations and building maintenance.
  • Be a spokesperson and ambassador for the Center in the community and beyond to advocate for the mission and vision of the Park County Senior Citizens Corporation.
  • Supervise Center staff and perform yearly performance reviews.
  • Work closely with accounting firm and Center staff to process weekly accounting practices including monthly rents, memberships, grants, payroll, and fees from activities and and events.
  • Manage all Center expenses, working with the Treasurer to keep the Board informed of the organization’s financial status.
  • Develop and carry out fundraising and development objectives to grow the organization through grants, membership, special events and major donors.
  • Manage and oversee Center marketing and communications including a monthly newsletter, press releases, website, and social media accounts.
  • Work closely with Board committees to develop and implement the organization’s budget, strategic direction, and work plans.


  • Oversee full and part-time maintenance employees to ensure upkeep of the entire building, including 24 apartments and four commercial Ensure building is kept in excellent working condition and all rentals are in good working order.
  • Supervise and work closely with the Building Maintenance Director.
  • Contract with outside vendors when necessary taking into consideration the yearly expense budget.
  • Enforce safety measures.

24 – low income HUD certified apartments: 

  • Prepare and update all lease agreements as necessary, implementing competitive rental rates, while staying within the state mandated HUD requirements.
  • Interface with tenants regarding maintenance, security or safety needs and communicate important status updates to the Board of Directors.
  • Work with the Park County Auditor in preparing yearly income certifications.
  • Advertise appropriately for any vacancies as an Equal Housing Opportunity facility and place new tenants according to HUD requirements.


  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 4-6 years leadership management and/or non-profit experience
  • Demonstrated leadership in organizational change, fundraising, and team building
  • Comfortable with public speaking to both small and large audiences
  • Familiarity with the HOME and Housing and Urban Development Low-Income requirements for low-income senior housing applications and re-certification process.
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy office setting where interruptions are frequent.

Desired Requirements: 

  • Strong computer experience is required, including Microsoft Office/365 and associated programs; specifically, Publisher and QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge about senior and aging issues is helpful.
  • Resident of Park County

This is a full-time, exempt position. The salary range is $40,000 to $50,000 (commensurate with experience) with PTO and a health insurance stipend.

This position often involves being able to lift approximately 25-pound boxes, containers, and/or equipment during special events, outings and conferences. Job requires hours spent sitting and working on a computer.
